We are committed to working closely with all major stakeholders involved in the farm to food process to ensure that safer energy efficient lighting is applied in all areas of the food supply chain to guarantee food safety.
This enables farms, food production and manufacturing sites, packaging sites, distribution, warehouses and supermarkets to conform to the demands of HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and the relevant and necessary industry requisites. This can include a retailer’s own manufacturing standard or a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognised scheme.
GFSI recognised schemes such as BRC Global Standards for Food Safety, IFS Food Standard, GLOBALG.A.P.’s Integrated Farm Assurance Scheme, FSSC22000 and Global Red Meat Standard all have lighting and glass management requirements for sites to ensure that their bulbs, lamps and luminaires are protected in order to minimise the risk of glass contamination of food products. Our lamp’s distinctive BlackBand® ring is recognised and accepted by third party certification bodies as conformity to such requirements.
